The silver coin from the series "The Greatest Shipwrecks of History" is dedicated to the largest and unsinkable steamer of the Olympic class - the Titanic. Thanks to advanced technologies and innovations that were used in its construction, namely bulkheads between compartments, thanks to which water in the event of a breakdown of the ship's side did not go to other parts, but remained within one or more compartments, thereby leaving the entire ship afloat. As well as the double bottom used in the construction of the Titanic, this class of ships was considered unsinkable. On April 10, 1912, the Titanic set off on its first trip from the coast of England to the New World. However, on April 14, at 23:39, an iceberg stood on the path of this legendary steamer, from a collision with which at 2:20 the Titanic broke in half and went to the bottom.
